Product line sold: Pacific Scientific Co., an aerospace and industrial products manufacturer in Newport Beach, has sold its line of sensitive relay products to Communications Instruments Inc. in Fairview, N.C., for $2 million.
The product line accounted for $3 million in sales in 1989. Richard V. Plat, a Pacific Scientific spokesman, said the company sold the operation because it wants to concentrate on its line of products for the electric utility industry.
Communications Instruments plans to build the Sigma relay lines at its plant in North Carolina.
