Brea-Olinda Girls Win Basketball Tournament

In a game without a shot clock, the Brea-Olinda High School girls’ basketball team slowed it down to defeat Palos Verdes, 34-21, Sunday to win the championship of the Metlife Resources tournament at Century High School.
Freshman guard Nicole Erikson led all scorers with 15 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Junior guard Jody Anton added 11 points and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
