“Ruth Reichl’s Top 40 Restaurants” focused primarily on the trendy nouveau riche restaurants on the Westside, combined with a few token restaurants in other areas. When attempts were made to venture outside of her self-imposed boundaries, all she could do was to berate the restaurants as well as the community. The notion that Pasadena does not support its restaurants is unfounded. Pasadena has many fine restaurants.
