Ryan Should Still Walk Into Hall Easily
Mr. Blue has obviously done extensive research on the career of Nolan Ryan, and base-on-balls statistics don’t lie. In fact, Blue could probably make the same sort of arguments to keep a player like Reggie Jackson out of the Hall of Fame (with his umpteen seasons of 100-plus strikeouts). Mr. Blue’s ultimate baseball turn-on would be a game dominated by sinker-slider pitchers and contact hitters.
There is nothing more fun in baseball than watching players like Ryan and Reggie take complete control of a game, which both have done many times over many years. The doors of Cooperstown should unquestionably be opened to both.
