The Clippers named John Hammond and Alvin Gentry assistant coaches and Keith Jones trainer.
Hammond, 35, was an assistant and scout with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. Gentry, 35, spent the past two years as an assistant and scout for the San Antonio Spurs.
“They’ll have equal duty as my assistants,” Clipper Coach Mike Schuler said. “Both will be on the bench during games. Alvin will handle opponent scouting.”
Jones, 28, served as an assistant trainer with the Orlando Magic in 1989-90 and has also worked for U.S. Football League teams in Oklahoma and Arizona.
Clipper General Manager Elgin Baylor said Hammond, Gentry and Jones signed multiyear contracts.
