Highway May Be Messy but It’s Free of Plaque

NEW ROSS, Ind. — Indiana highway crews had a cleaning job they could really sink their teeth into along Interstate 74 Thursday.
But officials stopped short of calling out residents with toothbrushes to help whisk away tons of toothpaste, which spilled northwest of Indianapolis when a tractor-trailer truck caught fire shortly after midnight.
The trailer on the rig was consumed by the blaze, which apparently resulted from overheated brakes, authorities said.
