Tom Kline, a Los Angeles broker who represents Seattle-based Safeco Insurance Co. of America, is under investigation by the FBI for selling questionable life insurance policies to NFL rookies, the Sun-Sentinel of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., reported.
Kline said the investigation was based on erroneous information, possibly from a rival of Harold Daniels, an NFL agent whom the report said directed new signees to Kline.
