An 18-month-old child fell 20 feet from a two-story window Wednesday in the Midway area but appeared to be uninjured, police reported.
Gregory Steven York Jr. was standing on his bed near the window at 10:30 a.m., lost his balance and popped out the window screen as he fell, said police spokesman Bill Robinson.
The youngster, who lives in naval housing in the 3200 block of Bradman Drive, fell on his shoulder and upper back but stood up immediately after the accident, Robinson said. He was taken to Children’s Hospital for observation.
The child’s father, Gregory Steven York Sr., 26, told police he had checked on the child a few minutes before and found him sleeping.
