Let me see if I’ve got this straight. Durenberger put his rent for his condo on his expense report, right? If he worked for any company in America, he would be fired. If he worked for the Pentagon, he would go to jail. As a member of the Senate, however, this is not even enough to get censured. Is that right? Shoot, no wonder we all hold our politicians in such high regard.
