NO-NO NOLAN: Former Angel pitcher Nolan Ryan (above, pitching against the Angels in 1989) threw his sixth career no-hitter Monday night as the Texas Rangers beat Oakland, 5-0 (C1). Ryan struck out 14. As an Angel, Ryan pitched four no-hitters, two of them in Orange County--against the Minnesota Twins in 1974 and against the Baltimore Orioles in ‘75, both at Anaheim Stadium.
