An investigation into an allegation by a 17-year-old woman that four members of the Washington Capitals raped and sodomized her in a limousine outside a Georgetown nightclub was turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Washington.
The players allegedly involved are right wing Dino Ciccarelli, left wing Geoff Courtnall and defensemen Neil Sheehy and Scott Stevens.
The victim told District of Columbia police that she attended a party in honor of the Capitals last weekend at a Georgetown bar. She began talking to a few players when Ciccarelli allegedly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her outside into an alley. Ciccarelli then allegedly forced her into a limousine parked in the alley, according to an unidentified police official.
