LAS VEGAS — Japanese billionaire Masao Nangaku, owner of the Dunes Hotel and Country Club, said he plans to launch a $200-million construction and remodeling project at the Las Vegas Strip resort.
Nangaku said his firm, Minami Nevada Inc., has hired the architectural firm of Hellmuth, Obata and Kessenbaum to develop and design a high-rise tower at the gambling resort.
Nangaku purchased the Dunes Hotel and Country Club out of bankruptcy in 1987 for $155 million cash.
