Countywide : 7 Students Selected to Attend Academies

Seven Ventura County students have been appointed to three U.S. military academies.
Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) has appointed Ojai resident Andrew Ouimet, 19, and Thousand Oaks residents Jeffrey Lingens, 17, Jason Colvin, 22, and Kevin Dydyk, 19, to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Gallegly named Catherine Rom, 17, of Camarillo to the Merchant Marine Academy, and Kai Schraml, 17, of Simi Valley and Michael Lindsay, 18, of Thousand Oaks to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
