California IN BRIEF : SANTA ROSA : ‘Easter Bunny’ Hops Back to Prison
- Share via
The Easter bunny showed up at a downtown shopping mall to pose for photos with children, but wound up getting his mug shot taken instead. Clyde Dale Lashbaugh, 38, was arrested--in a full bunny suit--for allegedly violating his parole as a registered sex offender. Authorities said Lashbaugh had recently been released from prison on sex charges and that one of his parole conditions was that he avoid contact with children under 18. He was taken to the state prison in Vacaville. Police Chief Sal Rosana said Lashbaugh’s arrest alarmed some shoppers. “A number of people called anonymously and said we arrested the Easter bunny,” he said. “They had no way of knowing the seriousness of the circumstances of the arrest.”
