Westwood One Inc.: The Los Angeles-based producer and distributor of radio programming reported a first-quarter loss of $7.7 million, more than twice its loss for the same period of 1989, on revenue of $31.8 million, which was up 20% over last year’s first quarter. The company said the loss, which it called expected, was due to higher interest costs and goodwill amortization related to the company’s acquisition of radio stations in New York and Los Angeles.
