La Salle’s Lionel Simmons was selected the Naismith men’s college basketball player of the year. Stanford’s Jennifer Azzi won the women’s award. Lisa Leslie of Inglewood Morningside was named top prep girls’ player and Damon Bailey of Indiana was the prep boys’ selection.
