Smtek Inc. Captures Space Shuttle Contracts

Smtek Inc., a defense electronics contractor, said it won several contracts related to the space shuttle and space station programs. It said the new contracts boosted Smtek’s backlog to $13 million, compared to $3 million a year ago.
The privately owned, Chatsworth-based company designs and assembles circuit boards for military electronics applications.
