Dodgers to Face Padres on April 9

The Dodgers announced today that they will face the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium on April 9 to open the 1990 season for both teams.

Tickets for the previously scheduled opener between the teams on April 2 will be honored at the April 9 game, the Dodgers said.

The season was pushed back a week because of the owners’ lockout. The owners and players reached a four-year agreement Sunday night.

Previously, the Dodgers and Padres were not scheduled to play April 9 before beginning a three-game series at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium the next night.

The opener April 9 will begin at 1:35 p.m. The Dodgers said fans with tickets for games that had been scheduled April 3 through 8 are advised to hold those tickets until further announcements are made concerning those games.
