Fund Raising Begins for College’s Student Park

East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park is raising funds for its Student Park, a site just east of the college swim stadium.
The site has remained largely undeveloped since it was set aside for a park in 1981. Plans call for grass and trees to be planted around a modern fast-food restaurant, with a fountain in an outdoor eating area and development of an outdoor amphitheater.
