Shane Mosley of Pomona and Oscar de la Hoya of Los Angeles advanced to title matches in the U. S. Amateur Boxing Championships at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mosley, 18, mixed counterpunching with aggression in outclassing Daniel Lujan of Alinas, 5-0, in a 132-pound bout. The 17-year-old de la Hoya stopped Sandtanner Lewis of Miami with a right to the body at 2:30 of the first round in a 125-pound battle of high school students.
