A special meeting designed to give City Council members a voice in drawing up budgets for municipal departments will be held Saturday.
The session was requested by the council’s budget committee, made up of Vice Mayor Allan L. Alexander and Councilman Robert K. Tanenbaum.
In a memo prepared for the meeting, Finance Director Donald J. Oblander said the prospects for a continued balanced budget are very good, even with the increased costs expected for maintaining and operating the city’s expanded and renovated Civic Center.
