Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the killer of an unarmed security guard who was gunned down in an Alhambra nightclub last week, about an hour before closing time.
Michael Gauvin, 31, was checking patrons at the downstairs bar of the Pine Garden Restaurant about 1:10 a.m. Feb. 13 when somebody approached him and fired three shots into his chest, said Deputy Gabe Ramirez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
He was pronounced dead at Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park. There are no suspects.
Authorities don’t know how long the killer was inside the restaurant in the 300 block of West Valley Boulevard, formerly known as Ricky’s Skyroom.
