Air Terminal, Air Traffic and Name Choice

Re Pat Mott’s humorous article about the naming of the John Wayne Airport/Terminal (Jan. 28): When amused visitors ask why an airport was named after a movie star, I point to the Saddleback Mountains and tell them the county supervisors named them after John Wayne’s horse.
That’s usually good for a horselaugh.
