A 16-year-old Sylmar boy was killed early Saturday in a drive-by shooting that police say was gang-related.
Sonny Rodriguez was driving in the 12900 block of Borden Avenue in Sylmar when a car carrying three male Latinos pulled alongside his car, said Sgt. Jay Frey of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Frey said several shots were fired from the car, one of which hit Rodriguez.
He was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests had been made Saturday, Frey said.
