Hilton Wins Court Dispute: Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. was awarded $7.5 million by a U.S. District Court in Maryland, which found that a hotel owner had breached a 20-year management contract with Hilton. The award represents Hilton’s fees for the balance of the contract term with the hotel in Greenbelt, Md. Hilton stopped managing the hotel in June, 1988, after the owners threatened to terminate the agreement. The management agreement was signed in January, 1984, by Hilton and both Lerner Enterprises and Albert H. Small--the general partners of Springhill Lake Hotel Limited Partnership.
