A bicyclist riding on Murphy Canyon Road found the body of a woman in roadside shrubbery Wednesday, San Diego police said.
The unidentified body had suffered “apparent trauma to the head” and was found in the 2800 block of Murphy Canyon Road in north-central San Diego, just west of Interstate 15, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. It was not clear how long the body had been there, he said.
The woman was described as white, about 25 years old, with medium-length dark hair, wearing a plaid shirt and dark pants.
County coroner’s deputies will perform an autopsy, Robinson said.
