THE SIDELINES : Team Picks Italian Training Site

MILAN, Italy — The United States soccer team announced today that it has selected Coverciano, Italy, as its training site for the 1990 World Cup.
Coverciano, located near Florence in the Tuscan region, is the traditional training camp of the Italian national team.
The U.S. team will play Czechoslovakia on June 10 in Florence, then face Italy on June 14 in Rome and Austria on June 19 in Florence in the Group A round-robin portion of the 24-team tournament.
