Westside Records Large High-End Sales Share
A total of 188 homes priced at $1 million or more were sold in October in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and San Diego counties.
Of those sales, half were in the Westside, including 35 in Beverly Hills.
“This part of the real estate market really plays by its own rules, “ said Donald L. Cohn, president of La Jolla-based Dataquick Information Systems, which released the sales information. “Sales don’t fluctuate along with rising or falling mortgage rates like the rest of the market.â€
Of the 188 sales, 48 were paid for in cash, he added.
