All-Valley Football Team to Be Named
The 1989 Times All-San Gabriel Valley football team will be announced in Thursday’s edition.
The first and second squads, 23 members each, were selected by sportswriters based on a poll of coaches and discussions with scouts. First-team players will be honored with a breakfast and awards ceremony at 9 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Anaheim Hilton, 777 Convention Way.
All-stars from 12 Times circulation areas will be honored.
Featured speaker will be Coach Dennis Green of Stanford.
