Donation from Hyundai: Hyo Whi Baik, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor America in Garden Grove, recently gave the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross $500,000 for the Northern California earthquake relief fund. The check was from the Hyundai Business Group, the South Korean conglomerate that includes Hyundai Motor America.

And Brea-based American Suzuki Motor Corp., through its Suzuki Automotive Foundation for Life, has donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross disaster relief services to help with quake relief efforts.
