The University of Wisconsin faculty vote urging an end to ROTC programs on campus by 1993 is purely advisory. Chancellor Donna Shalala said that sometime after the first of the year the faculty recommendation would be passed along to the 17-member Board of Regents for its consideration. The board has rejected similar proposals in the past.
