SAN CLEMENTE : Woman Arrested in Stabbing of Husband
A San Clemente woman who called police for emergency medical assistance has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of her husband after he suffered a stab wound that penetrated his lung, authorities said Monday.
San Clemente police said they were summoned to the couple’s home in the 300 block of Plaza Estival after the wife, Kit C. Redmon, 37, called 911 Sunday night. Police found the woman trying to stop bleeding from stab wounds in her husband’s right side and right arm, Sgt. Richard Downing said. She was arrested at the scene in the 6:30 p.m. incident.
Victim Gary Redmon, 42, was in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center after surgery Sunday to his lung, hospital spokesperson Jan Walker said. Police said the case in under investigation and would not comment further.
