Let me see if I understand this.

The FBI will now be given the authority to arrest criminals and terrorists in other countries, after ordered to do so by the President, and without permission from those countries.

Good idea, and it is about time we stopped pussyfooting around, but isn’t this exactly what Israel did when it located and arrested the terrorist Sheik Obeid in Lebanon? And wasn’t Israel criticized for this, loudly and vociferously, by an array of pious hand-wringers from the President and Sen. Robert Dole (R-Kan.) on down?

I think that not only an apology to Israel is owed for all the harsh, holier-than-thou pontificating, but also an expression of gratitude for having provided a model on how to deal with international thugs.
