Nation : NEW YORK : Abortion Protesters Arrested at Clinic

More than 100 anti-abortion demonstrators were arrested after they chained shut the doors of a clinic and shackled themselves together, police said. The 101 protesters, members of the Bi-state Operation Rescue Network, were charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing justice after their arrests at the Long Island Gynecological Clinic, a Nassau County police spokesman said. Fourteen women scheduled for treatment were kept from entering, the clinic’s manager said.
