Salvadoran Guerrillas Slay Police Officer

SAN SALVADOR — Suspected urban commandos gunned down a Salvadoran policeman in downtown San Salvador on Thursday, military officials said.
He was the second officer killed in less than 24 hours as a rebel military offensive continued into its third day.
