Brea’s Marlow Throws Four Touchdowns Passes

Senior quarterback Chad Marlow threw touchdown passes to four different receivers as Brea-Olinda High School rolled over visiting San Diego Hilltop, 33-3, Friday night before 1,100 at Wildcat Stadium.
Marlow, who was six for nine for 231 yards, hit on scoring passes of 23, 75, 34 and 54 yards.
After a first-quarter safety, Marlow threw a 23-yard strike to running back Ed Stewart to give the Wildcats (2-0) an 8-0 lead. After another first-quarter scoring pass of 75 yards to wide receiver Mike Ryan, Marlow closed the first half with a 34-yard scoring pass to Ryan Nicholson as the gun sounded.
Just 58 seconds into the second half, Marlow threw a 54-yard scoring pass to running back Lou Morales. The final Wildcat score came on a three-yard run by Marco Hernandez in the fourth quarter.
Hilltop (0-2) scored its only points on a 35-yard first-quarter field goal by Derek Petty. The Lancers managed just three yards rushing and 98 yards passing in the game.
