OCC Teams Seventh, Third in Cross-Country
The Orange Coast College men’s cross-country team finished seventh and the women’s team third in the Fresno State Invitational at Woodward Park in Fresno.
In the men’s division, American River was first with 74 points, Mt. San Antonio was second with 100 and Hartnell was third with 122. Orange Coast totaled 169.
For Orange Coast, Chris Parmer finished 10th on the four-mile course with a time of 20 minutes, 44 seconds and Brad Sigler was 13th in 20:53.
In the women’s division, which is 5,000 meters or 3.1 miles, West Valley was first with 68 points, Bakersfield was second with 72 and Orange Coast was third with 119.
Orange Coast’s Maricela Benavides was third in 19:11. Lisa Rutkowski finished 24th in 20:47 and Maggie Steinhauser was 25th in 20:55.
