Press, Southwest Tour Return to Saugus

Little has changed since the last time the NASCAR All-American Challenge Series Southwest Tour made a stop at Saugus Speedway.
Dan Press of Frazier Park was the points leader in June when the Tour made its first of two appearances at Saugus. Three months later Press, a former Saugus Speedway Modified division champion, is still the points leader as the Southwest Tour returns for the Miller 100 on Saturday night at 7.
Press, who easily won the 100-lap race in June, leads the 19-race series with six wins and nine top-five finishes in 16 events. Press (2,293 points) leads Troy Beebe of Modesto by 108 points. Press also is the tour’s leading money winner with $27,224.
Also expected to compete is defending tour champion Roman Calczynski of Sepulveda, another former Saugus champion. Calczynski, sixth among points leaders with 1,990, is winless this season.
