Well, the pictures were OK, but it’s a little hard to read. . . .

It’s the California Real Estate Guide, 24 pages of ads for expensive homes in Japanese. The first issue of the magazine, published in Costa Mesa, will be given away to Japanese banks, real estate companies, insurance companies and investors.

The publisher, Guy Torelli, says he is already swamped with requests for the magazine.

The snazzy properties listed include ocean-side homes and commercial buildings around California and in a handful of other states.

The brokers get to list the property, their logo, telephone number and--of course--their fax number.
