SOUTHLAND : Stalker Juror Ousted for Dozing
- Share via
Jury deliberations in the trial of accused Night Stalker Richard Ramirez were forced to start all over again today after the judge dismissed a male juror for sleeping during the deliberations.
Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan replaced juror Robert Lee with an alternate and ordered the deliberations, which were in their 13th day, to start anew.
Ramirez, 29, a self-proclaimed devil worshiper, is charged with 13 murders and 30 other felonies he allegedly committed during a crime spree that terrorized Southern California in 1984 and 1985. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death.
His trial thus far has lasted more than one year.
