Foothill Group Shows 7% Profit Rise in 2nd Quarter

Foothill Group, a financial services concern with executive offices in Agoura Hills and Los Angeles, said its second-quarter profit climbed 7% from a year earlier, to $3.24 million from $3.03 million.
The company’s revenue in the quarter that ended June 30 rose 19% to $27 million from $22.7 million. For the first half of 1989, Foothill’s profit increased 10%, to $6.65 million from $6.03 million, while its revenue jumped 16% to $51.3 million from $44.1 million.
Foothill said the gains reflected improvement at all three of its major divisions, which focus on business financing, money management and commercial real-estate lending.
