DANA POINT What: Offshore fireworks show, games, live music and other activities. Where: Heritage Park, end of Old Golden Lantern. Time: 5 p.m. activities; 9 p.m. fireworks. Admission: Free. Parking: At park and on surrounding streets (fireworks, fired from a barge off Doheny Beach, will be visible from entire Dana Point Harbor area). Information: (714) 643-0779. FOUNTAIN VALLEY What: Orange County Fiesta continues with carnival rides, cook-offs, arts-and-crafts show, auto show and music by the South Coast Trio, the Platters, the Coasters, Bobby Freeman, Little Dion, Ted Miller & the High Rollers and Elvis impersonator Paul Casey, followed by the county’s largest aerial fireworks show. Where: Mile Square Park, Brookhurst Street and Heil Avenue. Time: Today through Tuesday, 11 a.m. to midnight. Fireworks show Tuesday at 9 p.m. Admission: $3 general, $2 for seniors and military personnel in uniform, $1 for juniors (6 to 10 years old), free for children 5 and younger (Fiesta is in one corner of park; rest of park is open free for viewing fireworks). HUNTINGTON BEACH What: 85th annual Huntington Beach Parade and related events. Where: Pancake breakfast and eight-kilometer run at Yorktown Avenue and Main Street; parade begins at 6th Street and Acacia Avenue, will run north on Main to Yorktown Avenue and east on Yorktown to Lake Street. Time: Pancake breakfast, 7 to 11 a.m.; run, 8:30 a.m.; parade, 10 a.m. Admission: Free for parade; $16 entry fee for run (includes shirt). Parking: Side streets near parade route. Information: (714) 960-8899. What: Fireworks show, live band music. Where: Huntington Beach High School Stadium, 1905 Main St. Time: Entertainment at 7 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. IRVINE What: Irvine Police Officers Assn. fireworks show, featuring South Coast Symphony performing Tchaikovsky’s “1812” Overture, selections from “West Side Story,” a Beatles medley and Sousa marches. Where: Irvine High School Stadium, 4321 Walnut Ave. Time: 3 p.m. gates open; 5 p.m. entertainment; 9 p.m. fireworks. Admission: $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 or younger and seniors. LA PALMA What: five- and 10-kilometer runs, pancake breakfast. LAGUNA HILLS What: Pacific Symphony performs Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide” Overture, George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” Richard Rodgers’ “Carousel Waltz” and Four Dance Episodes from Aaron Copland’s “Rodeo,” with fireworks show. Where: Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, 8800 Irvine Center Drive, Laguna Hills. Time: 6 p.m. gates open; 8:30 p.m. performance. Admission: $8 to $39.50, available at TicketMaster locations. LAGUNA NIGUEL What: Summerfest ‘89, featuring 10- and five-kilometer run, three-kilometer walk, pancake breakfast, games, entertainment, chili cook-off, horseshoes tournament and fireworks over lake at nearby Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
