Murray Off Base When Taking Switzer to Task
Jim Murray’s invective against the character of Mr. Switzer only serves to point up in stark detail his own lack of character. The editing staff of the Times, however, has the capacity, the perspective, and therefore the responsibility, to deny such writing the dignity of print. Jim Murray may know no road but the low one, but the Los Angeles Times should be able to read the signs.
