CHICAGO — Sears, Roebuck and Co. says it will lease space in three of its stores to Kuppenheimer Mens’ Clothiers.
The announcement came just a month after Sears said it planned to discontinue sales of suits and sports coats and emphasize more casual clothing in its men’s clothing departments.
The deal with Kuppenheimer is the first time Sears has contracted with a big apparel retailer. Kuppenheimer will set up shop at the Sears store in Northridge Shopping Center in Milwaukee and at two other undisclosed stores on the East Coast and in the Midwest.
