Medaglia Leads Westlake Comeback, 6-5

Joey Medaglia’s two-run single with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning gave Westlake-Agoura a 6-5 victory over Beaverton, Ore., in an American Legion inter-district game at Westlake High on Thursday.
Medaglia’s single capped a comeback by Westlake-Agoura (11-1-2), which trailed 4-0, after 7 1/2 innings.
Held to four hits through seven innings, Westlake-Agoura turned two singles, a walk and an error into two runs in the eighth before scoring four times in the ninth.
Todd Preston walked in the ninth, advanced on Zac Miller’s single and scored on Brian Smith’s single.
