COLUMBUS, Ohio — Rep. Donald E. (Buz) Lukens (R-Ohio), convicted of having sex with a 16-year-old girl, plans an announcement on his personal and political future by the end of the week, his chief of staff, William Jarrell, said Tuesday.
Lukens’ two-year term expires in 1990. His misdemeanor conviction does not make him ineligible to seek office again. Lukens, 58, was convicted Friday on a charge of contributing to the delinquency and unruliness of a minor. He faces a maximum of 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
