WORLD : U.S. Expels Envoys in Tit-for-Tat

WASHINGTON — The State Department today ordered the expulsion of two Nicaraguan diplomats in retaliation for the ouster of two U.S. envoys from Managua last week.
The Nicaraguan Embassy was informed that the presence of Roberto Vargas and William Vigil, both minister counselors, “is no longer acceptable to the government of the United States,†the department said.
