Will Vinton Productions, the creators of the popular “California Raisins” commercials, has produced “The Shocking Adventures of Casual T. Cat,” a 30-second public service announcement for the American Academy of Pediatrics designed to educate parents about child-proofing their homes to prevent injuries. Animated in the Claymation technique, Casual T. works frantically to prevent a baby from burning himself on an electric coffee pot--and gets his tail plugged into an electrical outlet as a reward. According to the AAP, more than 300 children under the age of 4 die in the United States every month from injuries, most of them preventable.
