A grant of $6,125 from Pacific Bell...
A grant of $6,125 from Pacific Bell will help underwrite a special Opera Pacific performance of “My Fair Lady†for the hearing impaired July 1 at 2 p.m. at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. The grant will be used to reduce ticket prices and to hire two interpreters who will be positioned on stage right, in costume, to sign dialogue and lyrics along with the rest of the cast. Hearing-impaired patrons may purchase first-tier tickets at $19 (half the regular price) through the Dayle McIntosh Center for the Disabled of Anaheim. Information: (714) 772-8285 (TDD: (714) 772-8366). The performance will be the first signed-interpreted performance at the Center, which opened in September of 1986. “My Fair Lady†will be at the Center June 23 to July 2.
