Average Price of Simi Homes Sets Record in April
The average price of both single-family houses and condominiums set records in Simi Valley and Moorpark in April, according to the Simi Valley-Moorpark Board of Realtors.
The average resale price of a single-family house was $250,240 in April, an 11% jump from March and a 41% climb from the average of $177,612 in April, 1988. A total of 211 houses were sold in the area in April, up from 193 sold in March.
The average condominium price in the two communities was a record $144,614 in April, a 6% climb from the $136,663 average price in March. A total of 52 condominiums were sold in April, down from 56 in March.
The realty board records resales by its members of single-family houses and condominiums in Simi Valley and Moorpark. Its figures generally do not cover most new residences, which usually are not sold by real estate agents, or sales by homeowners who sell their homes without agents.
